Hi, I’m Octavio Sosa. I’m a self-taught artist who’s passion for drawing and color has led me through a self-discovery in art. I was born in Argentina and 15 years later moved to Austin, TX in 2002. My art journey began by drawing and painting in traditional mediums. I was involved in Austin’s Creative Art Society and Austin Visual Association, which led me to have group exhibitions in numerous galleries, including the Austin Museum of Art.
Over the years my style expanded into digital art, where it opened up opportunities to work in the advertising and entertainment industry.
My influences are comics, movies, animation, architecture…what I try to do is to grab and put everything together to see what comes out. Experimenting is a big part of my process, through mistakes and trusting the process are where great things are created.
In my free time, I like to take long walks in nature, enjoying the colors and peace of mind. I also love to spend time with my family, especially my two boys who keep me busy as a goalkeeper in our backyard soccer games.
