Created for Presente: Latinoamérica Vive en Austin, a group exhibition hosted at Something Cool Studios, this piece explores the experience of living between two cultures.
The illustration portrays a traditional Argentine gaucho divided between two worlds. One side represents Buenos Aires and the traditions of Argentina, while the other reflects the city of Austin and the life built in the United States. Together, they symbolize the dual identity shared by many immigrants who carry their heritage while embracing a new home.
Although deeply personal, the piece speaks to a broader experience of cultural identity, belonging, and adaptation. It was exhibited alongside works from fellow Latin American artists living and creating in Austin, celebrating the diverse voices that shape the city's creative community.
